Update on the Leila Fowler Case

Both sides went into court on Wednesday to discuss the possibility of a trial date.

In the meantime, Calaveras County appears to have one more unsolved murder arising from the shooting in West Point in early July.  The original person of interest, Gary F. McMahan, is no longer being looked at in that light and there has been no news from the Calaveras County Sheriff since the survivor, Jessica Elder was released from the hospital.   There is also the death of two people in a home fire in Mountain Ranch, CA that took place on or about 8/30/13 the cause of which appears to be undetermined.
